New OnePlus phone

OnePlus's free Clone Phone app copies your things from an iPhone or another Android phone.

OnePlus phones come with a free app called Clone Phone (it used to be called OnePlus Switch). It copies contacts, messages, call history, apps, photos and videos to your new OnePlus.

Before you start

From another Android phone or an older OnePlus

  1. On the new OnePlus, open Clone Phone. If you can't find it, type Clone Phone into the search at the top of Settings.
  2. Tap This is the new device, then choose what your old phone is.
  3. Follow the steps on screen to install Clone Phone on the old phone. Then, on the new phone, tap Already installed.
  4. On the old phone, open Clone Phone and tap This is the old device. Use it to scan the square barcode (QR code) on the new OnePlus.
  5. Tick what you want to copy, then tap Migrate.
  6. Keep both phones close together and plugged in until it says it has finished.

From an iPhone

  1. On the iPhone, it helps to turn on Contacts and Photos in iCloud first: Settings › your name › iCloud.
  2. On the new OnePlus, open Clone Phone, tap This is the new device, then tap Import data from an iPhone.
  3. A square barcode (QR code) appears. Scan it with the iPhone's camera to download Clone Phone onto the iPhone.
  4. On the iPhone, open Clone Phone, tap This is the old phone and scan the QR code again. Tap Join to connect.
  5. Tick what you want to copy, then tap Migrate. Wait until it finishes, then tap Done.
  6. On older OnePlus phones, Clone Phone asks you to sign in to iCloud instead, then guides you through the rest.

Official video from OPPO Care. The video only loads from YouTube when you press play.

OnePlus uses the same Clone Phone app as OPPO. We couldn't find an official OnePlus video, so this one is from OPPO Care, an official OPPO help channel. The steps are almost the same. Pressing play loads YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may then store data on your device. Watch on YouTube instead.
